Now Hiring: General Automotive Technician

We are a family-owned shop in Bryan looking for a dependable technician who takes pride in fixing cars right. Three generations of Kubins have run this place the same honest way since 1978. If that is how you like to work, we want to meet you.

What You Would Do

As a General Automotive Technician at Kubin, you handle a little bit of everything that rolls through the bay. This is hands-on general repair work, not a specialty desk. You diagnose the problem, explain what you found, and do the job the right way the first time. No sales quotas, no pressure to upsell.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using scan tools and hands-on inspection
  • Perform brake service: pads, rotors, calipers, and fluid
  • Service suspension and steering: shocks, struts, tie rods, and ball joints
  • Handle engine and A/C repair, from diagnostics to component replacement
  • Complete fluid services, filters, belts, hoses, and general maintenance
  • Keep clear notes so we can explain the work honestly to each customer

What We Look For

  • Automotive repair experience, or a genuine willingness to learn the trade
  • A valid driver's license and a clean, safe driving habit
  • Your own basic hand tools are a plus, not a requirement
  • ASE certification is a plus and not required to apply
  • Reliable, honest, and comfortable talking straight with customers
  • Able to work Monday through Friday during shop hours

What Kubin Offers

  • Steady, year-round work in a busy, established shop
  • A hometown team, not a corporate chain with quotas
  • A shop that has built its name on doing right by customers
  • Room to grow your skills across every kind of general repair
  • Straightforward management that backs its technicians
  • A workplace three generations of the Kubin family stand behind
